Meet Kellie, she is a doctor of physical therapy, DPT and joining the Motherly Comfort Home Care Team! She Graduated from CSULB in 2011 with her masters in physical therapy, MPT. She completed her doctorate of physical therapy, DPT at Western University of Health Sciences in 2014. While completing her graduate degree, she completed an internship in an outpatient neurological clinic and was trained to work with patients with spinal cord injury, CVA, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Amputations. She found passion in helping patients with neurological disorders and later found that working with these patients in their home environment was the best fit. She has worked in the acute hospital setting, short term rehab and home health setting for 9 years and full time home health for 6 years. We are excited to have Kellie join our team to train our caregivers on proper body mechanics, using mobility devices, and learning about mobility and exercise.
